Unrestrained technical metal vibration

Concept & Action:

KUNAI is a technical metal vibration lure designed to conquer tough conditions with a level of versatility previously impossible for this lure class. Thanks to its unique line-eye position on the flat plate, it offers incredible responsiveness. It doesn't just vibrate on the retrieve; it performs a Shimmy Fall (trembling on the drop) and a sharp Slide Dart when jerked vertically.

By mimicking the panicked escape of small fish or shrimp, the KUNAI triggers both reaction and feeding instincts. Whether you are casting in open water, working the bottom, or fishing vertically, the KUNAI turns a simple metal vibe game into a technical, high-performance strategy.

  • Weight:
    • 1/8 oz (3,54 g)
    • 3/8 oz (10,63 g)
  • Hooks, rings & snaps:
    • 1/8 oz: hooks #12 / ring #1 / snap #000
    • 3/8 oz: hooks #6 / ring #2 / snap #1

Body Construction:

The KUNAI features a 0.4mm ultra-thin stainless steel plate paired with a front-weighted head. This combination allows for instant start-up and extreme sensitivity. The vibration is powerful enough to be felt clearly through the rod tip, allowing for precise control and the ability to detect the slightest changes in water flow or structure contact.

Plate Setting:

The elongated "long-hole" shape of the line eye ensures the snap stays in the optimal position during the cast. This stabilizes the lure's flight posture, increasing casting distance and significantly reducing the "fouling" (line tangling) often associated with metal vibes. Additionally, the plate edges feature a reinforced "rib" (shibori) processing to prevent bending.

Hook Setting:

During the swim, the metal plate acts as a shield for the hooks, reducing snags in weed beds or structure. Upon a strike, the lure's head acts as a pivot point, causing the body to flip in the fish's mouth. The hook's range of motion is intentionally restricted to ensure the points are always facing upward for a high-ratio hook-up.

Hide & Seek (HS) Color Concept:

"Hide & Seek" refers to the lure's ability to play camouflage. Because the KUNAI often lands on the bottom with its back side up during darting, the reverse side is painted in colors that blend into the lake bed. The lure disappears on the bottom and then reappears with a sudden flash when moved, triggering aggressive reaction bites.
