What is THE STRIKE skate and tackle shop Original Color “TEN”?

The story began with Fish Jewels - the first in The Strike Skate & Tackel Shop's turquoise-back original color series featured on the DRT KLASH series.

Since then came Jewels, featuring full-side foil finishes, Diamond, built around a holographic translucent concept, and now TEN, featuring a matte white belly.

Together, these three colors represent the evolution of an original color program over the past decade. As a complete lineup, they provide anglers with versatile options for a wide range of water and fishing conditions.

The turquoise-blue back is a highly visible color in shallow water and clear-water environments, where it displays a soft, milky brightness.

As depth increases, however, its appearance changes rapidly. Around 3 meters (10 feet), green wavelengths begin to fade, shifting the color toward a pale blue. Beyond approximately 5 meters (16 feet), it is no longer perceived primarily as a color. Instead, it becomes a subtle silhouette with light brightness - a natural presence that appears more like a “bright shadow” in the water.

Both Jewels and Diamond are designed to maintain their profile through foil and holographic flash.

TEN takes a different approach.

By incorporating a matte white belly, its profile is intentionally designed to blend into its surroundings more easily.

At rest, the white belly is the dominant visual element.

But during rolling actions, the white flashes into view for only an instant before disappearing again.

White → Disappear → White

This contrast in brightness creates a powerful flashing effect without relying on excessive color or reflective materials.

The essence of TEN is not about being seen all the time.

It is about being noticed only at the precise moment it moves.

Rather than forcing its presence on fish, TEN creates brief moments of recognition that trigger instinctive reactions.

That balance between natural appearance and effective attraction makes TEN especially effective in shallow water, under bright skies, and in heavily pressured fisheries.

From powerful jointed wave action, to subtle I-motion silent retrieves, to completely unpredictable panic-bait actions, the lure's unique adjustable tail allows anglers to create a wide range of presentations.

Its deep-bodied flat-sided profile generates irregular flashing and strong water displacement during rolling actions, attracting bass from a wide area while delivering an intense appeal to fish holding tight to specific cover.

The tail's downforce effect provides exceptional stability even during ultra-high-speed retrieves, allowing the lure to tear across the water without blowing out or breaking the surface. At the same time, it responds exceptionally well at extremely slow speeds and reacts instantly to both steady retrieves and subtle rod work.

The lure also features excellent cover-avoidance capabilities, making it effective in situations that conventional big baits cannot properly fish. At around 170 mm (6.6 inches), it offers a highly versatile "bite-sized" profile while incorporating reinforced hardware and components capable of handling trophy-class fish.
